Contributor Guidelines

Thank you so much for being so interested in contributing to InTouch's blog. We have provided some guidelines into the quality we expect of our guest contributors. Would you please read our style and submissions guidelines before beginning your blog?
If we find that your submission is in line with our current strategies and reflects our brand accurately, we will be in contact with you within 30 days.


Content & Style Themes

There is a range of topics covered on the InTouch Marketing blog. The most popular posts deal with solid examples and case studies with numerical results backing up their conclusions. How-tos are also very popular. InTouch's readers expect the blog content to be problem-solving or entertaining in nature. Please try to provide actionable steps in your posts.

Our content is written to appeal to chief executive officers(CEOs), chief marketing officers (CMOs), marketing VPs and digital marketing directors at medium- to large companies. We sometimes focus our blogs on the Hazardous Waste Disposal and Manufacturing markets. Please write appropriately for these sophisticated readers.

Our blog posts tend to fall into just a few topical categories. These include:

  • Inbound Marketing
  • Content Marketing
  • Email Marketing
  • SEO
  • Account-Based Marketing
  • Lead Nurturing
  • Conversion Rate Optimization
  • Marketing Automation
  • Sales and Marketing Alignment

Posts cannot be blatantly promotional. You should include links to your website in the bio at the end of the post. Links pointing to relevant content on a blog from the blog post's body are acceptable but shouldn't be promotional in nature.

All content must be exclusive to the InTouch Marketing blog, original and authored by you. You can use ideas, concepts, and lessons you have written about in the past as long as the content itself is new.

You may also post a snippet on your blog that directs people to the post and links back to InTouch Marketing's blog.


Style Guide

  • Article length: 800+ words
  • Post titles: Initial caps, no more than 55 characters in length
  • Subheads: Subheads, bulleted lists, and unordered lists are encouraged for a positive user experience and readability


InTouch Marketing is flexible on the number of links in a post, but they should be reasonable.


Images & Graphics

You do not have to provide images or graphics with your blog. However, if you would like to use specific images or graphics, follow these guidelines:

  • Format: .jpg or .png
  • Size: Images must be at least 1140px x 665px
  • Sourcing: Images must be either initially developed by the writer or stock photos.  We will accept no web images. 


Provide a brief biography (approximately 50 words) describing your expertise. You may include links to personal or company social media profiles.


Submission Guidelines

  • Posts can be submitted as HTML via .txt or standard text via Word doc or Google doc
  • Author bio (can include links)
  • Optional: Additional images (charts, graphs, logos, etc.)

Promotion & Reader Interaction

InTouch promotes all posts via Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Your post may also be syndicated to other outlets. Contributors are encouraged to distribute their blog post throughout social media.

Please check the blog post intermittently to respond to any comments.



Contributions should be original content and not repurposed in their entirety on your website or another blog. Discussing the post on your blog while linking to it is acceptable.

  • Publication dates will be based on InTouch's editorial calendar. If your blog is approved, we'll be in contact with you within 30 days.
  • InTouch Marketing reserves the right to edit posts for clarity, grammar, voice, and relevance. Blog posts that require significant editing will be rejected.
